Achieve a nationally accredited rock-climbing qualification with Rock Up's Climbing Academy

Our Climbing Academy is built around the NICAS CLIP (National Indoor Climbing Award Scheme). These after school courses offer training in essential climbing skills, safety techniques, and confidence-building exercises, providing a Nationally Accredited Climbing Qualification upon completion.
Our 10-week courses are suitable for 6 yrs+, is designed for all abilities.

Climbing Academy Taster Sessions

Trial a Climbing Academy session before you book your course

Available on 13th July or the 10th August. Trial our after school Climbing Academy sessions for £5, and the price of the taster session is applied to the cost of the full course.

Experience Rockstars NICAS Academy 6yrs+ Our 10-week programme for ages 6+ helps them achieve a nationally accredited rock-climbing qualification. They’ll gain confidence, teamwork skills, and overall well-being. Featuring NICAS® Clip Foundation and Advanced programmes, it’s the perfect start for beginner climbers.

Calm Climbing Sessions for SEN Visitors

Climbing is a fantastic way to burn off some energy while having mountains of fun.

During our calm climbing sessions, created for our visitors with Autism and SEND in mind, we’ll turn the music off and there will be fewer climbers in the arena to create a calmer and quieter environment. Family and siblings are of course also welcome to climb.

Home Educators

Our Home Ed sessions at Rock Up are the ideal way for home-educated children and their educators to come together for some adventurous learning fun. Climbing is a unique and thrilling home education activity that builds confidence, teamwork skills, and self-esteem—making it a perfect fit for the Home Education Curriculum from Key Stage 1 to 4.
