Activities
Climbing sessions are suitable for ages 4+ and last 90 minutes, including a safety briefing. Plus we offer Toddler Climb and Play and Soft Play sessions. Spectators watch for free. An adult must stay on site to supervise.

Parties
Birthday parties for different ages and budgets. Up to 2 hours of fun, including a briefing, 1 hour of climbing and party food time. An adult must stay on site to supervise.
• Larger party no problem, ask us about “Exclusive Arena Hire”
• Book your party through our online checkout
• Confirm climber numbers and food add-ons at least 5 days before the party
• You and the birthday child can arrive 15 minutes early to set up
• Guests should arrive at the booked time to check in
• Climbers receive a 30-minute safety and equipment briefing

Groups & Events
We offer competitive rates for schools (DOE vendor), as well as community groups. From age 4+
Perfect for groups, schools, youth clubs, sports teams and Scouting/Guiding groups. Book a single session or contact us to try an entire NICAS course and each climber will receive a nationally accredited qualification, learn climbing skills through expert instruction over multiple weeks. For corporate team-building sessions, contact us directly.
Classes & Inclusive Climbing
Inclusive kids’ classes that build confidence. Rockstars NICAS courses with clear progression. SEND and home education sessions available.
• Rockstars NICAS is our after-school weekly climbing club, running over 5 consecutive weeks. These climbing courses build skills, confidence and earn NICAS national accreditation
• Our Calm Climbing sessions have been developed with visitors struggling with Autism and SEND in mind. These occur on the first Monday of each month for a reduced fee and you can return anytime during the remainder of the month for the same reduced price.

What age can children wall climb at Rock Up?
Wall Climbing is available from age 4, with fun routes designed for their size, motor skills, and sense of adventure! Every wall and hold is created to encourage independence. Our Toddler Climb & Play tickets are suitable up to 5 years
Is wall climbing at Rock Up suitable for beginners?
Yes. Rock Up is perfect for first-time climbers!
· Our climbing walls are progressive, from easy beginner zones to more technical routes.
· Our team is on hand to brief and assist you.
· We also offer NICAS climbing courses for 4-5 years and 6-12 years for those who want to progress.
Are there activities other than wall climbing?
Yes! Climbing is only part of the adventure at Rock Up Watford! We also have:
· Multy-storey Soft Play areas for younger children
· A one of a kind High Ropes course, Stairway to Heaven and towering Leap of Faith
· Party areas for memory-making birthdays
· Snack zone to refuel after climbing

How long does a session last?
Climbing Sessions at Rock Up last around 90 minutes. The first half hour is for the guests to arrive and receive their safety briefing. The following 55mins are spent in our climbing arena. However, you can purchase an additional 30mins of climb time online or during your session.
Soft Play sessions are stay and play sessions during the week in term time. Meaning you can pay once and play all day! At the weekends and during school holidays our soft play sessions typically last for 2 hours. Parties at Rock Up last 2 hours in total. The first 30 minutes is for guests to arrive and receive their safety briefing. The following hour is spent on their activity and the final 30 minutes is spent in the party area where they can enjoy a mountain of refreshments. Subject to availability.

Do I need to bring any special equipment to climb?
No. Everything you need to enjoy our wall climbing is included. We provide the harness, and that’s all you need. Just wear comfortable clothing.
You will be unable to climb in climbing shoes, high heeled shoes or open-toe footwear.
Is wall climbing safe for children?
Absolutely - safety is our top priority for all ages.
We use automatic belay devices to keep you secure. Climbers clip in to access the wall, allowing them to climb safely and descend gently. With a weight range of 35lbs to 287lbs, they ensure a smooth experience for climbers of all shapes & sizes.
Our team members explain everything during a mandatory safety briefing before entering the climbing area and monitor safety throughout the session. Parents can relax - everything’s designed for children to feel confident and secure.
Can I use the High Ropes course?
Our High Ropes can be added onto any climbing booking, or, purchased on its own. We have 2 high Ropes courses; the lower course is for climbers over 1.2m tall, and the higher course is for climbers over 1.4m tall.
